Both of my sons have absolutely loved their time at Playtime at Building Bricks. The setting is always so welcoming, with activities, games and crafts all ready for the children to enjoy as they walk through the door. The staff at Playtime are incredibly caring and kind. They develop such positive relations with the children and promote independent play and routines for them to carry out each day.

The outdoor area is well structured, fun and looked after. The children are also lucky to have access into the school hall to run around and play fun games. My children have grown up in this loving, kind and caring environment. They have looked forward to going every day and have so much to tell me when I pick them up. The children are happy, healthy and school ready. What more can a parent ask for?!

Building Bricks provides a truly wonderful and much needed 'before and after school care' service for my family. We have used them since our daughter's very first week at school in the Reception class and we cannot praise them enough for all of the hard work, dedication to care and family support they have given us over the last four years, especially Maxine, Chandra and Jackie who have literally watched Tilly grow since she started. I can sincerely say that all the staff, collectively, provide a nurturing and stable environment packed to the brim with fun activities, age appropriate and safe resources whilst always promoting a loving approach to learning. Tilly relishes the relationships she has developed with all the staff and is always eager to attend the setting. The staff are consistent and thorough in regards to safeguarding and taking the extra time each day to listen to any concerns we may have as parents or changes to Tilly's normal routine. They have been more than accommodating on so many occasions and we cannot thank them enough for their flexibility and attention to detail.

All the staff are friendly, have an open and calm manner and are truly amazing with children; a smile awaits us at the door whatever the day. The care they show Tilly shines through in each session she attends and she absolutely knows that she can turn to them for anything whilst she is there. Nothing is ever too much trouble for the staff and Tilly has blossomed in confidence under their protective wings. We would highly recommend Building Bricks to anyone needing 'wrap around' school care and we will continue to want them to help us 'grow Tilly up' as she enters Year 4 and beyond.

When our son started with Building Bricks he struggled leaving me, but his key worker and the team were amazing!! They made suggestions that would help, and the welcome and attention he received when he arrived helped him settle in really quickly. Everyday he tells me stories of the things he’s done and learnt, and the team go above and beyond to make it an amazing experience for children and their parents. I have felt ‘involved’ from day one with all of their activities, through the use of Tapestry and their overall approach with parents. I couldn’t be happier with my sons first experience of the outside world in others care, and I recommend them without hesitation. Thank You Team!!

My girls skip into the breakfast club in a morning, excited about what they are going to do there and what they will have for breakfast! They are greeted at the door by any one of the team who are smiling, warm and welcoming. They receive excellent care and Maxine, Chandra and the rest of the team seem to really know the personalities of and cater for both of my girls. It is also great for me, knowing I can go to work with an easy mind that my children will get a good breakfast and be so well taken care of until school starts.

Everybody’s hard work, professionalism and genuine affection towards the girls is very much appreciated.

Building Bricks has meant that, since the start of Reception, I have been able to work without worrying about before and after school care. The transition into school was seamless, with staff finding lots out about Lucas’ personality, likes and dislikes before he even walked through the door. The staff always have the time to listen to any problems and will offer help, from having to stay late after a road closure meant I was delayed to pick up to my son wanting to complete some extra homework and being given some help.

It’s the little things that go a long way. My eldest son doesn’t go to Hunsley, yet all of the staff will greet him and ask how he is doing (and in the case of Chandra often give him a cake!) They are unfailingly friendly, helpful and dedicated. I’ve never known somewhere as eager to find out about what makes each child an individual and to work with quirks!

Lucas says “I like Building Bricks because the food is really nice and they treat me really well. If people get hurt they help out. My favourite food is either Chandra’s rice or the pizza. The ladies are really kind. My favourite thing to do there is play with my friends. The ladies help me with anything I ask. I am a million percent happy there!”
